A home where joy is cultivated and celebrated.

Mudita — sympathetic joy. We practise it on the mat, together, in a small studio off Beach Road, with a specialty in handstands and arm balances.

01 — The Word

mudita (मुदिता) — the pleasure that comes from delighting in another person's well-being.

Unselfish joy is easy to overlook in a city that moves this fast. So we built a room for it — where a first handstand, a returned breath, someone else's good week, all get the same welcome.

Mats and props are here. Bring yourself, a small towel and a refillable bottle.

Our Specialty

A place to grow — wherever you are, however your practice looks today.

First class or five-hundredth, stiff or bendy, upside down or flat on your back: the three things we're known for meet you exactly where you are. Small rooms, real attention, and a teacher who remembers your shoulder.

Handstands Foundation

Never been upside down? Perfect — that's who this is for. We start at the wall and build the strength, balance and confidence a handstand asks for, one small win at a time. No experience needed.

About Mudita

We keep a room for other people's good news.

Mudita is the pleasure of delighting in someone else's well-being. Here it looks ordinary: a class clapping for a first crow pose, a teacher remembering your shoulder, breakfast plans after the 8am flow. Mats and props provided — bring yourself, a small towel and a refillable bottle.

Practice

Small room, real attention

Capped classes so a teacher can actually see your shoulder, your knee, your good day.

People

Beginners stay beginners

For as long as you like. Nobody here is auditioning for anything.

Play

Laughter is allowed

Falling out of a handstand is part of the class, not a failure in it.

Most arm balance classes I've attended move too quickly from one pose to the next. Jolene took the time to explain shoulder placement, arm position and elbow alignment, and had us practise those before moving into the actual pose. It made the class feel much more approachable and helped me understand the foundations properly.

Super grateful for Darren's patience while guiding me, analysing my weak points and showing me where to improve. This was my very first handstand class, and it was an awesome session!

Very enjoyable class! I was able to stretch and release my tense muscles. Ethan was warm and had positive energy, and went around to correct our postures which helped with the stretching. Will come back when I can, recommend :)

Angie was very meticulous and concerned with how we feel while doing the poses, which makes it safe for us. Appreciate her going around to help us constantly. And the gentle sound bath does have a more calming effect.

First time doing a hatha vinyasa class. Flow was easy to follow thanks to the teacher and following other participants. Good stretch and poses, was challenged and engaged. Also felt very relaxed through other poses. Enjoyed it!
